Black for Spring, GROUNDBREAKING

Ok ok, black for anything isn’t exactly groundbreaking stuff, we know! But clearly it’s a classic that can easily be mixed in with most anything you own. Plus as tall women; while we don’t need the elongating boost it gives – we will definitely take it. Below we have some great options that would go the distance in any closet!

We have an affinity for Express clothing, as young professionals. I actually have a background working for Express in college – where my love truly blossomed. They have been our go-to for professional tops. You may not know this, but they usually are generous enough in length to work for us taller women. However, we’d use caution when trying their long sleeved shirts such as the portofino. C’mon Express, we know you want to launch an actual tall line, especially after creating a Petites!

This puff sleeved Express top is a winner in my closet. It can easily take me from work to drinks without a second thought. Paired with a clean pair of black jeans and booties, you end up with an easy, sophisticated look.

The jean are asos, one of the several stocked that go up to 38’ inseam. They are beautifully long (maybe too long if I’m being real). A great problem to have though, amiright?

The booties are a great find from Nordstrom Rack. One of our go-tos as they stock great selections up to size 13 (which I am).

Caitlin found this beautiful bodysuit from asos as well. It’s an instant classic, as wrap tops never go out of style. Plus if you don’t mind pinning the neckline, it can also take you from work to drinks and still be appropriate.

As for the amazing jeans – they’re a recent Gap find! We love high waisted, especially not dealing with the dreaded B.C. (buttcrack) hanging out and having to pull up your pants endlessly. They have the perfect amount of stretch to stay comfortable but make your curves look amazing!

A staple for comfort, black flats are a must for us. As we never grew up wearing heels often, we’re most comfortable in flats or block heels.
