Alloy Apparel Tall Clothing: You Need

We’ve been sprinkling our feed with Alloy Apparel tall clothing over the last weeks/months, if you haven’t noticed! April showers of the Alloy variety, if you will haha. It was fun to work with Alloy while pregnant, and figure out what could still work for my ever growing body. Honestly, I am super impressed and grateful to have these items of clothing. Basically, we just want to do a photo dump post and talk through some of the fit, for next time you’re browsing and purchasing at Alloy Apparel tall clothing! If you want a look back at some other Alloy items we’ve worn, click here, here or here.

So first up, I strategically picked their items that had elastic or smocked waistbands. These denim joggers are unfortunately long sold out but I chose them in size XL and they are fitting my 38 week bump still! I’ve been wearing them to work every week at minimum. I loved that the waistband was still still pretty high on my bump and I think I’ll be rocking them in my postpartum recovery days as well because they just comfortable and well-fitting.

Tall Boho Pants

Next up and also the ideal waistband (pregnant or not) are the Tall Smock Waist Flowy Pants. Again, I’m so ecstatic to have these lightweight flowy tribal pants for wear during AND after pregnancy. At 37 inch inseam, I was a little concerned if the length would be there for me at 6’4. Apparently that is a completely unfounded concern because clearly they are skimming the ground! Sized up to XL again but also appreciate the thigh room for my athletic shape! We will likely have to shoot these again in the summer postpartum if they are still shoppable to see in a different shape.

Tall Maxi Dresses

I still believe one of the most searched items by tall women are maxi dresses. It is no easy feat to find a good maxi dress especially with all the different style preferences. Add in adequate sleeve, waist, and/or chest length and it’s a tall order. I felt like I was rolling the dice even more adding a baby bump. Again Alloy came through with their Tall Maxi Slit Dress! I sized up to XL and no exaggeration it made me feel like a pregnant goddess! It’s available in three colors and under $60, a show stopper for whatever event you need to attend. The length is there for as well at 6’4 so no worrying about if it measures up.

Caitlin tried out their Tall Long Sleeve Split Hem T-Shirt in S/M white and loved the versatility. You can take the front split and knot it for a cute look without pulling up the backside of the shirt. We are always looking for good long sleeve shirts and love this option. The other option is to just wear it normally with the side slit, which is great if you’re like us and wear a smaller size on top than bottoms. It accentuates the waist nicely because it doesn’t cover your side hip area.

Tall Bodysuits

She also grabbed the Johnny Collar Bodysuit. If you’ve been around these parts, you know we’re both suckers for a good bodysuit. We’ve tried Alloy’s bodysuits in the past and been quite pleased with the fit. This bodysuit is no exception. It adds a bit of visual interest at the collar, especially perfect if you’re a fan of 70’s fashion. No need to size up for any of their bodysuits, she is wearing a Medium.

Tall Duster

We also both got their Rib Knit Duster, which is now sold out. All we can say is, grab yours next year when they’re in stock again. They are a great midi length and ridiculously soft. They also manage to be really nicely fitted but somehow ideally slouchy. We all need well-fitting layering pieces and this Duster is the answer! Caitlin is wearing the mustard in Medium and I did the Grey in Large.

We apparently got ahold of some of these pieces on their way out the door, so apologies for sharing sold out items. But we love to talk sizing for people to get the idea of the consistency of a store if they haven’t made a purchase yet. We’ve been eyeing up some of their new drops, like their Oversized Blazer, and these Strappy Back Bodysuits! Oh and how could we forget to mention these Camo Joggers, or the High Waist Julia pants if you’re heading back to work in the office like us, soon.
