Olive! This Jumpsuit

This weekend went far too quick. Tim and I had a wonderful weekend getaway in Portland. I have a teammate from college (and fellow tall woman) who moved out there after she was done playing professionally and it’s one of our favorite places to visit. They are such great hosts and the four of us get along so well!

Apparently Portland is just as hot as Milwaukee currently, so I wore shorts for all of our activities. I grabbed for these favorites of mine to pack, as the loose fit and inseam is perfect! They are so flattering, especially on athletic/generous thighs. This tall sweatshirt  is perfect for the plane, because it’s adorable but comfortable. Don’t be swayed by the final sale sticker, it’s true to size so you’d be getting it for a steal (under $15!). I am so tempted to buy more colors. I love how big the hood is as well, for any other weirdos who actually use the hood on their sweatshirts like me! The other final sale item I grabbed were these jeans. I would say they’re true to size as well and definitely the right length for my 37.5-38 inseam!

Caitlin had a packed weekend as well, with her close friends wedding festivities kicking off this past Friday! She started by getting her nails done Friday with the bridal party. Anyone else struggle with growing long nails besides us? She tried dip on her nails for the first time and although they are plenty grown out after a month of having on, there was no chippage! SAY WHAT?! The only downside so far she’s noticed is the limited color options. But now her nails have been able to grow without breakage for a month and she’s excited to have that extra length for the wedding. It’s the little things ladies!

Speaking of the wedding, she was considering wearing this green jumpsuit as an option for the rehearsal dinner. Because it was nice out, she grabbed this romper instead after debating between that or this floral romper we last posted here. When this olive jumpsuit was released, she immediately fell in love, and then fortuitously a sale happened upon us.

Now, the only beef we have with Asos’ sales when it’s a dollar amount off (ie 50 off 250) is that if a piece doesn’t work for you, then you’re basically screwed out of returning anything because they deduct the discount out of your return. So if you return a $50 piece, you’re not getting a refund…. Doesn’t really seem like a good/fair business practice!

Anyway, back to this jumpsuit, which is perfection for a smaller tall! It hugs her curves perfectly and it’s a one piece wonder. She paired it with these inexpensive heels, which are super easy to walk in and are comfortable enough for her to wear for hours, because of the perfect heel height. She’s actually going to be wearing them with her bridesmaid dress this weekend as well, because they are so versatile!

This happened to be the same order that I tried this jumpsuit, and now I’m stuck with a too-short jumpsuit that doesn’t fit Caitlin’s torso length either. So if anyone has a short torso and is interested in buying this jumpsuit for the discounted sale price, let us know! I see that a couple of sizes are currently sold out. If anyone bought it and kept it – please share with us how it worked for you.

We last posted a romper roundup here, comparing how they fit 6’4 vs 5’11. Would anyone be interested in a similar jumpsuit or maxi dress roundup as well? Or if you have any other ideas, we’re open to suggestions as well. (This is directed to ladies, not men who aren’t interested in shopping but are just here for our height.)
