Jump(suit) Around, Summer is Here

Wow, what an awesome weekend. We plan a tubing trip annually and it hasn’t let us down yet! It is a fun way to get a random group of people together and hang out and be silly together. The weather looked a little dicey the week leading up, but we weren’t going to let that get us down or stop us from going! Last year we went and the river was too flooded so we hung out in the lower part of the campground which had knee deep water and it was just as good!

This year the weather ended up being a perfect summer day. The river level dropped to a suitable level so they opened it back up and we got our massive group out there together and had a blast! It was funny seeing people come out of their tents Sunday morning and discovering all of the interesting tan lines and spots they missed!

We’ve got lots of good recommendations for any of you who are campers, especially some tall friendly options. Tim and I love this tent, because we can stand up in it and it only takes like 10 minutes from start to finish to set up. All the poles are attached for easy tear down as well! Caitlin has this smaller version and this rain fly that pops up in 2 minutes and she loves it as well. We talked about our other camping must haves in this post here, if you’re interested in any more favorites.

Remember we told you in this post, that we had this guy ready to float down the river with us patriotically? He unfortunately met his demise right before the float ended, but he had a good life! He fit in perfectly with our America theme. Speaking of, we attached a widget below with some great options for the fourth.

We were super comfortable in these inexpensive swimsuit tops. We both found our our red bottoms and it was super difficult to find the style we wanted. We were trying to avoid the string bikini bottoms, but do a higher legged style. Caitlin ended up purchasing this pair, but beware they are somewhat cheeky!

We are super excited about today’s post because we have a guest appearance by none other than our lovely mom! We knew we wanted to work her into these posts, because she has amazing style and we owe our love of fashion to her! I know she has an appreciation for jumpsuits, so when Mother’s Day rolled around I saw this jumpsuit and knew she had to have it. She is  6’2, so she definitely needs tall options as well and we’re always on the lookout for classic options for her and us!

We grabbed these low priced jersey jumpsuits and they are so easy to pair with whatever you are feeling! Plus you can layer them if you want either over or under if you’re one of the people embracing that the 90’s made a comeback! It is super flatter because it has the thick waistband to define the waist but also has the wrap top so it doesn’t just lay flat – sometimes jersey shows everything and it isn’t flattering. The inseam is also amazing for both small-talls and the tall-talls. It is definitely true to size as well.

We’ve updated the shop page here, with some other great tall jumpsuit options. Especially if you’re looking to snag them up, Asos is having a sale right now – so don’t delay!
