Back again for a quick post today to share several of our recent Amazon tall athletic wear finds. Sometimes when we see inseams listed on Amazon, it’s usually too good to be true. Elated to inform you that most of these products live up to the hype for both of us.
The perfect versatile joggers with four-way stretch and 4(!) different inseam options 30/32/34/36″ options! Caitlin has on the black in size XL 34″ inseam. As you can see they even pool slightly at her ankle and she probably could have chosen a size large instead of XL, they have great stretch. These tall joggers are under $40 as well, so truly a win for the budget! Link to Joggers Here.
We love us some Lululemon track that high rise shorts, that come in 5 inch inseam. Unfortunately the price point is steep AND trying to capture the quick selling size 12 as soon as they drop, is it’s own sport. Suffice to say, finding shorts that don’t ride up/chafe AND still fit the waist is no easy feat. This brand however, is coming through for us for Amazon tall athletic wear! Lots of great color options, a nice wide waistband that lays flat and no riding up. I can wear these chasing my boys around this Summer with ease! I have on a size XL, and probably will order a large to try next time because I think we’re in between large and XL. Link to shorts, here.
This shirt for me, isn’t quite long enough. It does fit Caitlin at 5’11 so if you’re not tall-tall then you would likely be happy with it. I liked the tulip hem and I loved the color options. But to have the sun protection, it’s still better to have a bracelet length sleeve than nothing! We both are wearing a size large in this shirt and it is under $20 right now! Link to Shirt, here. Not a true tall Amazon athletic wear win, but pretty close! I could potentially size up, but I don’t always like to sacrifice body fit to do that.
**Also, a few people have wondered about my leggings. They ARE Lululemon 31″ inseam, so if you’ve never been confident that the 31″ inseam would work for you, it does on me at 6’4″ and a 37.5 inseam to the floor! I wear a size 8 in the Aligns, people typically size down like 1-2 sizes for their correct fit. Link is here. Also, one of our most popular posts on Lululemon, here and another here.
Well… We’re back! Our year err two year hiatus was very necessary. We both work full time jobs and I (Jenilee) now have two boys aged 3 and 1, and Caitlin finally got out of her toxic job and is also doing some social media management for a couple of small businesses. We love the tall community and tall blogging, but it doesn’t pay the bills, haha. Anyone who is active on Instagram has probably been keeping up with us to some degree there. Kicking things off with a Tall Size (ish) post.
Admittedly that has taken a back seat as needed as well. I’ve definitely missed long form writing and sharing on our blog, so I’m glad that I kept paying for the site. It was also really nice to come back and see some comments on several of our posts. Good motivation that people are still looking!
We’ve been able to still collaborate with some amazing new tall small businesses. It’s been an honor to continue our ongoing partnerships with other businesses we love. My plan will be to do some uploading of some posts so we’ll have a home for our links. Instagram is a pain in the butt for keeping active links as people are looking for them. Please let us know if you’re looking for anything specific. We love to get an idea of the pulse of what our tall community is searching for. Tall blogging remains a passion of ours, despite our time away. Most recently, I had a chance to check out the Tall Size Pop-up VIP night event in Chicago. It was an incredible way to get to try on some items I had been eyeing on their website. We have shared about how amazing the Tall Size site is before, but it was even more incredible to get to chat with Nicole in person about her and Kayla’s vision for the future. As they continue to grow and evolve, we will have more options which we want to help champion!
Their vision is to have one website for all of the tall small businesses, so you have one checkout/shipping process to deal with. We are allll about that, especially since it’s inclusive of most of our favorite retailers!
I swear I had written a post about Tall Size before but apparently not! Here were two of the pieces we were gifted (back in 2022… crazy), the dress on me is from TJL Collection, and the jumpsuit on Caitlin is Prissy Duck. If you haven’t checked out their sites recently, they both have some amazing new options! I got a chance to try on this blazer and it feels amazing to have something fit well in the shoulders AND the torso. It’s a unicorn, as far as we’re concerned. I’ve been all about TJL Collection since they launched, check out these fabulous red leopard pants here. I also tried on this matching set and it fit so beautifully in a large tall. If only I had a vacation coming up!!
Lastly, I tried on this travel set from Liv Tall at the Tall Size Chicago Pop up shop. I just ordered it in large and large tall (navy) for my work from home days and travel days (of course). More to come when it shows up!

Well, it has been a lonnggg time since we made a new blog post, what better reason than to share American Tall? This will probably be one of, if not the very last post as well. We aren’t giving up sharing our tall fashion finds; but with life being very busy and us both holding down full time jobs, we don’t have time to post on multiple places. I absolutely miss creating these posts but something’s got to give. If you’ve only been following along on here, we hope you will find us either on Facebook and/or Instagram.
Welcome to the Holiday Season! Is anyone else starting to feel overwhelmed with decorating, baking, traveling, shopping, gift wrapping? We feel you and we empathize with all of the effects of holiday burnout. However, the good news is we want to try and take some of the stress away by helping you shop intentionally and with purpose for all holiday events. Both of us have become much smarter shoppers since the beginning of this blog and it shows. We are overall more satisfied with our purchases, the cost per wear ratio is way down since we are grabbing for our well fitting clothing so much more often. And we can mix and match so easily to create different looks for any event!
Back to the good stuff, today’s post is all about American Tall! If you recall, we first shared about them roughly two years ago. Check out the blog post here. Since we first shared, they have only improved their offerings for tall women and we are living for it! We are thrilled to be partnering with them today to share some of their latest and most exciting drops with you. How confident are we in American Tall? After sending us some gifted pieces, we turned around and lit up our wallets on Black Friday, so you will get to see even more goodies in today’s post.
Possibly the most fun piece of clothing they have offered thus far, but I could be biased! As soon as I spotted these on the American Tall site, I knew I had to have them. When they arrived, it was a little intimidating because I wanted them to work SO BAD. But once I slipped them on, I was thrilled! They are buttery, with a bit of stretch to them. I went with a size 31 waist 37 inseam. The straight leg cut is ideal, AND they thankfully skim over any trouble spots. I would definitely say they are true to size.
Another amazing, thoughtful piece that we absolutely NEED as tall women. That’s the sign of a great retailer when you open their site and see a piece you’re missing from your closet. When I’m traveling with my family I tend towards leggings and pretty casual. But when we are traveling more for work or a larger group, it’s nice to look a bit more pulled together. The true win of this pant design? You look polished while still maintaining comfort.
The elastic wide waistband moves with you, and the pants also have a bit of stretch to them. I got the 10 Extra Tall length. They are supposed to hit at the ankle and they perfectly do! I am not always a huge fan of the “jogger” band at the ankle and I love that these pants are just a tapered fit. The fabric has a slight sheen to them that I’d argue you could pull off as work pants in a cinch if you covered the waistband!
This long sleeve white bodysuit is perfect to wear alone as it is double lined, body contouring and looks extremely crisp and professional. Both of us tried this on and it fit well. Jenilee would consider possibly sizing up one for a little bit of extra room. I am so impressed with the quality of these bodysuits though. They put other body contour items to shame. When I am wanting more of a shell I toss on the sleeveless black one for a base layer. I love how nice it looks tucked in with a blazer. For reference I am wearing a MT in the black and white bodysuit, Jenilee would likely get a medium extra tall for a bit more length!
Y’all. I had given up on flannels. Honestly. For years I bought inexpensive flannels from Old Navy and made them work on me only to throw them out after a couple of years. Why?? The fit was ALWAYS off. The body too large, the shoulders slightly pulling, and the sleeves inches too short. It wasn’t even just Old Navy doing me dirty on fit. It was other tall retailers who I relied on for many other items of clothing. I’ve maintained a strong distrust of any retailer fitting my tall body type properly.
But this Flannel? It felt like coming home. I don’t want to get too dramatic, but I believe you can see the fantastic fit for yourself. I’m wearing a Large Extra Tall. The sleeve length?! A thing of beauty. The shoulder fit? Completely comfortable and zero pulling. The tapered body fit so you actually look like a female? Everything I need. It’s available in multiple cute prints as well.
From the moment this burnt orange beauty was blasted in their email we both knew it was coming home with us. The color, the style, the comfort. I received the orange one and it was so nice I bought it twice in the other colorway. It is buttery soft, fits wonderfully, pairs all with dress pants, jeans, or leggings. They also offer this in extra tall for those who are even more vertically blessed than myself.
If you read or reread our original American Tall post, you’d recognize their sweat suits as the original piece I chose! The quality has held up quite well over the years for me. As someone who spent a large portion of her formative years in sweats while in between playing basketball, I just don’t want to shake the habit on my off hours spent at home. So I came back for more well-fitting quality! I ordered this zip up pullover in size large extra tall, and the sweatpants in a medium extra tall knowing the sweatpants are an oversized fit (The grey original pair I am wearing in large). To match the fit of the cropped pullover, I wanted this pair to fit a bit closer! I’m very happy with my sizing choice.
Do you recall in Elf when Buddy says “You did it! Congratulations! World’s best cup of coffee! Great job, everybody! It’s great to be here.” That’s how I would explain these work slacks. They did it, they made the world’s best pair of dress pants. Not only do they come in three different colors, two inseams, and a plethora of sizes but they have the utmost comfort. They are perfectly stretchy without losing their shape and size. They maintain their color pigment through washes. I wore these to work 6 times in my first two weeks owning them. Highly recommend these for any of our tall working ladies. I often pair these pants with a bodysuit either on its own or with a blazer/sweater over it.
These tanks were on sale for right under $5, so this was a no brainer to me to snatch up a few colors. I prefer to wear more colorful shorts in the Summer, so I’m always looking for more neutral tanks. I’ve spent wasted enough money over the years on tanks that truly do not fit me and end up ridding my closet of them at each purge. Sensing a theme here? I bought medium tall in black, latte, and clay sunrise. I don’t think I needed an extra tall as the length of these tanks is perfect. It doesn’t cover my butt, which I think makes a tank too long but is plenty long to tuck in comfortably. Plus they look and feel luxe, not like some tanks that you’d only be comfortable seeing a peek of.

ATHLEISURE
Waffle Knit Set
Caitlin first ordered Gap’s waffle knit sweats last year and it was love. It is a nice lightweight breathable material and the waffle knit adds visual interest. When they brought back updated cuts of the waffle knit lounge sets, she knew she had to grab them. Worth noting is the model picture shows the length being only ankle length or 3/4 length and when they arrived they are floor length on her at 5’11. She gifted them to our Mom as well for Mother’s Day and she is 6’2.
Because I already had the waffle-knit set, I wanted to try a different textured set and was drawn in by the fun color of this Old Navy set. I haven’t had a matching short set either, so the appeal of the 4 inch shorts was great as well for the days I’m still working from home. I ordered this set in Large – the shorts are regular large and the sweatshirt is Large Tall. I potentially could have sized down but I prefer a loose fit for loungewear comfort!
If waffle knit isn’t your thing, we get it. Gap’s version of a super soft matching set is also completely ideal. Caitlin knows she loves to rock matching sets so she couldn’t just get one, plus the price was right! She is wearing a large tall in both, and mentioned that the sleeves wouldn’t be long enough had she gone with a medium tall. Just worth noting!
We have been jealous of all the other cute active dresses ever since we went to Disney for our sister in-law’s bachelorette party. All the other girls had them and one even had on a “tall,” which is a loose term because she was maybe 5’8 and it was not even to mid-thigh on her. We won’t mention that brand here. I was browsing in-store at Old Navy making a return and finally stumbled upon a returned Medium Tall. I tried it on and I knew it had to come home with me. It fits like a dream and gives a really cute silhouette while also holding everything in place and hitting mid thigh! Caitlin just ordered it in black as well in a Large Tall.
I’ve long been reluctant to embrace the biker shorts trend. We have what we like to call, powerful athletic thighs. Sometimes they don’t look ideal depending on the length of the biker short. I loved the fun “Burn Boot Camp” blue color and figured the price was right to try them. Especially considering how much I sweat in workouts, I needed a shorts option for Summer workouts. I went with the medium tall size and was very happy with that size and the length!
I bought these Mom jeans hoping for another non-ripped pair for work. Unfortunately for me they hit at an awkward spot on my ankles but a total win for Caitlin! There is minimal stretch in they wear in really nicely. 30 Tall is the size that works for us!
Mom Jeans
Straight Leg Jeans
This was the other pair I tried after so many of you loved the sold out pair I had on in a reel. This pair fits pretty similarly except for the inseam is more cropped, which I’m excited to have because they will work great for the Summer and pairing with ankle boots. Again, they don’t have much stretch to them but wear in well. They are a nice high waist, which is a must for me!
Straight Leg Denim
Halter Neck Tank Tops
I’m constantly searching for cute AND colorful tank tops for the Summer months. I feel like it is harder to put together a fun outfit when you’re trying to stay as cool as possible. I loved the colors and the neckline in this tank so I bought three different colors and luckily the fit was spot on. I’ll be reaching for these all Summer long to pair with my high waisted shorts. Wearing a medium tall and they are true to size.
Caitlin has had these short overalls for a couple of years now! She reaches for them regularly, and loves to pair them with a crop top for a small slice of skin. The overalls have a small amount of stretch to them but not overly. They are definitely long enough for her at 5’11 and she has them in size large tall. We love this updated light wash version with the ripped hems this year!
This was another find while browsing in store. I have a bad tendency to not buy workout tops and bottoms together so I end up with non matching options more often than not. I saw the neon petunia color on clearance in a medium tall and knew I had to snatch it up for $5. I’ve already worn it to Burn class and it held up to the description – very breathable fabric! Plus tons of colors, both classics and bright options! It is true to size and it is not cropped – I have in medium tall.
We hope you found this round up of our favorite Gap & Old Navy tall athleisure drops helpful. We’re grateful as always for you using the links to shop! Please let us know if there is anything else you’ve been on the hunt for, always happy to help.
Wow, it’s been a minute. Apparently the weather has been getting us down more than we realized! Plus being busy with our brother’s wedding, a 30th birthday trip for Caitlin, and preparing for Wesley’s 1st birthday party. I’m feeling sentimental about it, especially as I see pictures this time last year of my pregnant belly. It’s been one amazing year! But anyway, back to the reason for today’s post, Cupshe May swimsuits roundup! If you missed our last roundup, check it here!
We are excited to be partnering with them again, as we loved our first round of suits. Honestly this round is even better! The new prints they have released are perfect for Summer. It’s hard to believe Summer is even around the corner in Wisconsin, but we know there are sunny days in our near future! If you haven’t started thinking about swimsuits yet (if you need any new ones of course) now is a good time. Let us show you what we got below and we have a discount code to share at the end of the post as well!
First off we would like to make a blanket statement in saying that we think all of these suits are wonderful quality and an even better price point. Swimwear has gotten out of hand at a lot of shops these days, especially tall swimwear. Cupshe offers so many great tall friendly options that have us feeling like our best selves. Scroll down to see our Cupshe May swimsuits picks!
We both snagged this oil slick print. Me in the bikini, and Caitlin in the one piece. As you can see there is plenty of space on the one piece and the bottoms of the bikini are wonderfully high. The print is so fun and colorful!
This electric blue is going to be killer with a tan. We both loved it online but it’s even better in person. The color is vibrant and the fit and comfortability is top notch. This will be a great swimsuit for playing with Wesley or skiing on the lake.
After the blue floral suit from our last haul, this one was a no brainer. The fabric and feel of this one is everything of the sort. This one is a bit more supportive in the top and will allow for a lot of activity!
This floral print suit honestly fit like a dream. I love the security of the top, the high bottom and the floral print. It’s another swimsuit I can run around in without feeling over exposed!
Can you say twinning? We both got this one in different colors. We would each choose a smaller size in the top the next time around but we are loving it!
Okay I like floral, can you tell? This one is such a wonderful print and fit. The top again will be great for whatever the day throws at you and the bottoms are perfectly high rise.
I am ready to pop off in these bright sunny colors this summer. It is the perfect floral print! Unfortunately it is already sold out of this print, but I linked the plus sized option above.
Another floral but make it a little bit hawaiian? If you’ve been here awhile you know my love language is bright colors, fun prints, and anything that helps me express me!
We went with XL for all of our swimsuits above. We’re borderline between sizes and next time we will likely try some larges instead! We hope you enjoyed our Cupshe May swimsuits haul. Happy to answer any other specific questions as well!
