And We go Back to Black

For some of us (Caitlin), the 4th was over in the blink of an eye. Others of us, ahem me, are lucky enough to have an extended weekend out of the holiday. Whatever the case may be, most of us were lucky enough to have Wednesday off work and that’s something to be glad about! We hope your 4th was amazing and you had a great time no matter what you were doing.

Onto the good stuff. I know we’ve posted quite a few products from Amazon here on the blog, but they really do sell EVERYTHING! I don’t know about you guys, but our prime membership more than pays for itself, or we would not spend the money! If you’re not a prime member yet, now is the time to get a membership, because PRIME DAY is coming! July 16th to be exact and this year we’re getting a day and a half!

With anyone who’s experienced Prime Day before; they stagger deals, so this is a marathon of sorts. You do have the ability to “watch” deals though, so you’d be notified when they come available. Last year I tried some cheap dresses and bought a foam roller for home use. You never know what you’ll find, but luckily you can peruse ahead of time so you’re not put on the spot! If you want to check it out, use this link to get directly to the good stuff.

Some of the things we’re already considering are this grill (not on sale yet), that everyone in our family seems to love, and they have a bunch of cute blankets and pillows to mix and match for your home! They’ll keep adding as we get closer. I also like to take advantage of the book deals, as you know I’m a big reader. They also are offering $.99 for 3 months of Amazon Unlimited Reading. If you read 1 book a month, it’s totally worth the money. Heck if you read 1 book in three months it’d still be worth it.

There are so many good sales going on right now, as retailers try to get rid of their summer inventory and prepare for fall. We are not ready to start thinking about fall fashion yet, but it waits for no one! Especially the Nordstrom sale that’s fast approaching, we’re sure you’ve heard.

We just took advantage of Gaps’ sale this week, the 40% off and the additional 10% off on top of that is a no brainer, especially when you can use on sale items! I snatched up this sweatshirt, this striped shirt, this t-shirt, and a pair of jeans, all in tall and one bodysuit (I sized up for length) for $60! Caitlin snagged this lovely lavender button down and re-ordered this pair of jeans, because she loves the fit so much!

Everything at Express is currently 50% off as well. We have replaced them as our go-to swimsuit shop now and like we mentioned in this post – have several options that we love.

Asos is still having their additional 10% off sale items with code EXTRA, click the banner below, there are lots of sizes and plenty of good finds available still.

Extra 10% off The Up-To-70%-Off Sale with code: EXTRA. Valid 6/30-7/5 2am GMT

Whew, now that we covered a fraction of the available sales, onto the outfits. I had a fun night out with my aunt recently and we spent some time at Nordstrom Rack where I found this cute knotted black tank! It’s a reasonable length, as long as you wear high waisted jeans.

My jeans are older from Asos but are a fun look for a night out, whether you’re going out for drinks with friends or heading to a concert, or Summerfest. They are super stretchy, which makes them very comfortable.

Caitlin found this versatile black bodysuit from Asos as well. It’s a great piece to keep in your closet, because it makes you look so put together but is perfect for a night out as well. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s only $19! If you haven’t pulled the trigger on a bodysuit yet, now is your time!

We went for a more grunge rock look with the grey jeans, which are a great find from Express. If you’re looking to buy one pair of jeans from there, now is a great time to do it.

As usual, leaving you with a fun random picture to end!

Tell us below, are you shopping any of the sales happening over the holiday?
